PEACE KEEPING/BUILDING UNIT

Annalisa Creta is currently a research fellow at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa where she focuses on issues related to civilian crisis management, with a particular emphasis on training related matters. There, she is responsible for the management of a research project on “Training civilians for peace support operation: moving toward an harmonized approach” and she deals with programs related to Mentoring and Advising (M&A).

Emanuele Sommario is presently Assistant Professor of International Law at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. His main interests lay in Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, the International Law on the use of force and International Disaster Response Law, and he is the author of several contributions on the above topics, which he teaches at under- and post-graduate level both, in Italy and abroad. As from 2000, he is Programme Officer at the International Training Programme for Conflict Management of the Scuola Sant’Anna.

DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION UNIT

Annarosa Mezzasalma since 2006 is a research fellow at the International Training Programme for Conflict Management, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa. Her field of interest is decentralised cooperation and MDGs: research, project assistance, monitoring and evaluation, organisation of training courses, information activity. She has collaborated with the Province of Pisa and the Municipality of Milano.

MA IN HUMAN RIGHTS AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT (MAHRCM) & other TRAININGS

Rossella Altamura joined the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in April 2011 in quality of Programme Officer of the MA in Human Rights and Conflict Management. She has spent 6 months in Geneva working at the Italian Mission at the UN and other I.O. in the Human Rights sector, dealing mainly with the Human Rights Council and the OHCHR; she has worked for the International Institute of Humanitarian Law of Sanremo, gaining experience in the international humanitarian law field, and she has also spent 4 months working as a Geopolitical Analyst for Equilibri.net in Milan.

Matteo Bartolini joined the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in December 2011 as Project Officer of the MA in Human Rights and Conflict Management. Actually he is Project Officer also for the Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) courses and for the ENTRi courses implemented by the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. He has worked for the same institution also as a Research Assistant in the framework of the research project “Drug Policy Evaluation – New methodological tools for policy and programme evaluation”. He has spent 3 months in Geneva working at the Italian Permanent Mission to the United Nations on human rights issues. He holds a MA in Human Rights and Conflict Management and a Certificate in Project Management.

EU PROJECT MANAGEMENT UNIT

Francesca Capone is currently a research fellow at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and the Didactic Coordinator of the Master in Human Rights and Conflict Management. She holds a Ph.D. from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and Tilburg University. She has served as lecturer and visiting scholar at several academic institutions across Europe and she has been involved in projects and publications related to her main areas of expertise: international human rights law, international humanitarian law and international criminal law.

Enrica Pautasso has a Master Degree in International Relations and Human Rights and a M.A in Human Rights and Conflict Management. She has worked for United Nations both at UN headquarters and on the field and she has gained experience on European security working with global NGO based in Brussels (Coalition for the International Criminal Court). At the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna she is project manager with a specific focus on human rights and security issues. In particular, at the moment she is the manager of the European project CBRN: Integrated Response Italy (www.cbrn-response.eu).

OFFICE OF COORDINATION

Pasqualetta Campus  joined the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and the ITPCM in May 2005. She is currently a Training Officer at the ITPCM of the Scuola Sant’Anna, where she is in charge of the organization and implementation of training activities meant for the personnel of international field missions, in particular: the Summer School: The Civilian Personnel of Peacekeeping and Peace-building Operations, the IT Emergency Management Training offered by the Scuola and the World Food Programme and the training to civilian staff involved in  international election observation missions: “Corso di base per osservatori di breve periodo (STO’s)”  offered by the Scuola and  Oxfam.
